Daran Edermath

Daran Edermath is a retired adventurer who keeps on orchard on the north side of Phandalin. In his former life, he served as a marshal in Vulnmir. After three decades of captaining, Daran returned to his home in Greyhawk where he was shunned for his service in the north. He set out for the wilds of the Lakelands to start a new life. Fit, but silver-haired and aged, the half-elf remains an inactive member of the Order of the Gauntlet, a devout and vigilant group that seeks to protect others from the depredations of evildoers. Though he most often leaves intervention to the younger members of his order, he continues to keep a watchful eye on the goings-on in the southwest reaches of the Lakelands.
His chief concern is the destabilization of Phandalin. Though hopeful after the capture of the Redbrand "Mercenary Guild's" leader, Glasstaff, he found the accidental death of the town's only elected official, Harbin Wester, and Halia Thornton's subsequent rise to power suspicious.
