Personal history
Riordan was born and raised in the Icebow Library community of Moon Elves. He was educated in the traditional academic system of the Moon Elves and was considered a competent student in both theoretical and practical applications of magic as well as history and alchemical sciences. He was assigned to Aryen as a student and she still acts as his academic advisor. He occasionally joined her on field work but was more interested in the theoretical until recently. As a wizard of the Moon Elf tradition his foundation is in the historical and academic approach. Aryen believed he would be a steady hand and unobjectionable observer of Wiggles however, and assigned him to keep notes on Wiggles as well as act as the Moon Elves' representative in the Folk in Black following her departure. Riordan has indeed proved to be helpful, calming and an adventurous member of the Party that his companions have come to rely on for his intellect and magical skills. He also is affiliated with the Folk in Black as an agent, having become very interested in their mission. Riordan has become Wiggles' tutor in the magical arts and helps Blednisca to care for him.
