Ostite (O-sh-tight)
the Ostites are a ethnic group of people who are humans that live around Desono Bay. They are origionally from the continent of Freger. They move to these new lands for freedom and new farming lands. Insted, they were oppressed by the Imperium and were treated as slaves. They eventually revolted and created the Ostite empire. In this empire they gave everyone peace and freedom and ruled with honor and respect instead of fear. The most famous of the ostites is a guy by the name of Desono. He was a great war general during the great war in the 800s. He also started the revolution that created the Ostite Empire.

Common Etiquette rules
Ostites always greet someone before talking to them even if its small talk. they Take off any hats or halments before entering a building no matter what it is. If meeting someone for the first time they introduce themself and shae their hand before anything else is said.
Common Dress code
Ostites usually wear fur cloths made from sheep, foxes, bears, ect. Some men often wear no shirt but always wear some sort of pants. If deciding to wear shirts, Men wore A fur tunic with a belt, cloak, and trousers or kilts. For women they would wear a long dress and sometimes a cloak and belt with it to. If however, they wanted to wear something else they could wear a tunic and a skirt or trousers but this is usually for women working in blacksmithing or other jobs where a dress is dangrous to wear. If the person is wealthy enough then they could wear rings, necklaces, and braclets as well.
Coming of Age Rites
In Ostite culture it is custom that boys are able to work outside of their parents home by the age of 10 and for women it is 14. A woman can be married at the age of 18 and boys 19 but they can wait until they are older if wanted. Men can become fighters at the age of 16 and although rare women can fight by the age of 17. last but not least, A boy becomes right to rule at the age of 17 and girls at 18.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Ostite belive that if they did not die honorabliy then they shall be buried in the ground. If the soul died honorabliy then they shall have a monument of them in their home town or on top of their burned remains, as they had to be cremated.
Historical figures
Desono was an Ostite born in Chriskovic. He was fasinated by war and strategy at an young age. When he was of age he joined the Chriskovic gaurd in the Imperium and fought in the great war. He won countless battles againt dwarves, elves, orcs, and serpents. He soon got ranked as lead general for the army. After the war however he found out that the Imperium Pillaged the city of Chriskovic and killed almost everyone. He sought out to get revenge for his home town. That would start the Ostite revolution where they took over the whole Imperium and founded the Ostite empire. Desono unfortunatly died in the seige of Onirod but is now memorialized in Chriskovics' town square.

Gender Ideals
Boys are said to be the closest to the earth and are natural born worriors, rulers, and Builders. Girls on the other hand are said to be closer to the spirits and are natural born Preist, mages, and Brewers. Girls are taught at a young age to use magic. First, they learn how to use restoration spells, then conjouration, some even get to learn how to use destruction spells. Boys are taught at a young age to fight and to lead.
Courtship Ideals
An courtship in Ostite culture has to be natural. If one is wanting to be married they shall wear a special braid called a Marraige Braid. this dosen't have to be worn in the hair however, It can also be a necklace or braclete depending on ones liking. These braids are also used in Celta and Gaelia cultures as well. When a couple is formed they shall take their braid off and put it in a place where it won't be lost. If one of them wants to marry the other they shall give them their braid and ask them. On the wedding day or the day of joining. they shall wear special garments chosen or crafted by them. They will then take each of their braids and tie them together.
