Chekov's Puddle is a perilous stretch along the road from Jupiter to Dest. At a dip in the road, a catastrophic surge of water has enveloped the once-peaceful road, warning all who pass of the terrors that lurk in its inches-deep abyss. Its seemingly placid surface beckons to the unwary traveler, promising nothing more than a mild splash. Experienced adventurers however know what dire portents can await any location described in such detail. Only a fool would brazenly ford this stretch of limitless terror. What lurks beneath that veneer? A Hydra? A Kraken? The hungering maw of some other ancient sea creature?
As it turns out, it just contained some moss.
