Captain of the Sparrowhawk

Croxar was the dragonborn captain of The Sparrowhawk, an explorer and a merchant. He was recently found dead in his cabin, apparently from natural causes, altough some of his crewmates believe he was poisoned.

General Physical Condition

Croxar was a middle-aged, athletic dragonborn.
His scales were scarred and showed the signs of a life of hard work.

Identifying Characteristics

He bore symbols representing each of the ships he served on tatooed on the scales of his left arm.

Apparel & Accessories

Apart of his collection of good quality long, sleeveles jackets and his beloved hat, Croxar always carried a magical cutlass and a ring of featherfall.

Personal history

Not much his known about Croxar's childhood, altough it is assumed that at some point he managed to leave Coatul, and make his way east, to start a new life away from the dragon lords.

Education

As most of those who grow up in Coatul, Croxar was well versed in history and arcane knowledge.
He was also a proficient mariner, knowing how to accomplish almost every task needed on a ship.

Employment

Croxar started working on a mercantile ship as a deckhand.
Later on, he worked on a lot of different ships, covering many roles.
He then became the first mate on an exploration ship, but that job didn't pay well enough.
In the end, he bought the Sparrowhawk, recruited his own crew, and became captain.

From the outside it looked like Croxar's motivation was gold, but those who actually spent time with him knew that the love of travel and discovery were his main drive. Moneys were just a necessity.

Croxar could not refuse a challenge, which often led him and his ship into dangerous situations.
He really liked to drink, altough he couldn't hold alchool very well.
He also didn't care too much about moneys, considering them a unconfortable necessity, and was very bad at handling them, which eventually led him and his crew to be almost completely broke.
