Andranesi tailors are considered to be some of the best in Nimbaar.
Long, flowing, coloured dresses are the norm, regardless of gender or social station.
Make-up is mostly a women thing, but men make use of it too sometimes, especially members of other species that want to achieve the androgynous elven ideal of beauty.

Art & Architecture
Andranesi consider every form of art equally important, and many of Nimbaar's most famous artists were born in the Republic or came here to perfect their craft.
Architecture is often made considering estetichs over functionality: buildings are tall and slim, with coloured windows, walls and ceilings, often adorned with frescoes and statues.

Coming of Age Rites
Many andranesi adopted the elven tradition of allowing people to choose their own name once they reach adulthood.
Funerary and Memorial customs
In most Floating Cities there isn't much space to store dead bodies, so most of them are thrown out after some days or used as compost. Pieces of art are commisioned to honour the memory of the deads.
Important political figures are buried in the first floating city.

Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Elves set the beauty standard for the andranesi: light, slender and androgynous forms are preferred.
Relationship Ideals
Longlasting romantic relationships are common for andranesi, especially from the point of view of non-elven people, though they are rarely exclusive. Polyamorous relationships are common, as is having publicly known lovers. Non-romantic sex, even between friends, is not considered shameful in any way.
Secret relationships are frowned upon instead: they show a lack of respect from the one who decides to hide it, towards any other partners they are involved with.
Platonic, purely intellectual, relationships are considered just as important as physical ones.
