The Radiant Dragon School

One of the four schools of Sanctum Hollow, The Radiant Dragon School lies on the tallest of the mountains, The Drake Mount in the east edge of the Ring of Heaven. Most of the students and faculty are of the Dragon Clan. With the mountain peak blanketed in snow, and crowned in a ring of pale white light that circles the summit called The Holy Dragon’s Nimbus, the Radiant Dragon School uses the power of the Nimbus to gather light aura even on a moonless night. They train to manipulate this light-aspect aura in their techniques. The main entrance to the school is the Trial of the Ascending Dragon. It is a large, winding path up the mountain slopes covered in a mystical cloud containing Soultraces bound to protect the entrance. Ascending the path is the first trial for new disciples. Odds are given that 1 in 3 disciples fails to complete the ascension. Only 1 in 5 disciples completes the trial by sundown, allowing the disciple to choose a treasure from the Lesser Treasure Hall. Buildings, mainly composed of polished white and tan river stone include initiate quarters, three treasures halls, an Outer Disciple Hall, and a Hall of Healing. Like with major clan cities, the faculty is presided over by a handful of tenured instructors called mavens, including a Grand Maven. The Founders’ Vault is protected by this school.
