Session 4: The Weird Spire

General Summary

Session 4  
  • In the early evening, the party arrives at the Weird Spire. The massive double doors are locked and the only other thing of note is a weird flat surface with indentations and glass orbs set into the stonework. A locked compartment with a hole and a glass bead are below the indented surface.
  • The party ignores this and tries to open the door but battering it and making loud knocking noises, to no avail.
  • Unrelatedly, Silas has hearing problems now.
  • After some consideration, Kang forces Silas to finger mystery holes
  • Ping comes thru and opens the door with the word “Enter”
  • The doors open to reveal an entry hall, the decorations functional but not gaudy. Spirit lights (continual flame spells) illuminate the room with a soft silvery blue light, reflecting off stained glass windows. Ahead, upon a dais, is a large statue display of four humanoids surrounded by a serpentine dragon.
  • In front of the dais is a small table with refreshments. There is cold green tea and a pot of strong rice wine with five glasses, in addition to various snacks (rice crackers, sweet and savory pastries, and spicy dried peas). There is a sign that says “Help yourself, don’t be greedy.”
