Kang was born a Drab to a family in Gomshi Village, on the eastern edge of Bear Clan territory. His father is a well-respected smith and Kang has done his best to learn from him and prove his usefulness. While he has few friends, to those he does have he is fiercely loyal. He is tenacious, proud, and short-sighted.
While he is eager to prove himself and has a jolly demeanor, he is often seen as a bully and an annoyance by many who are quick to assume the worst of him given that he has spent his life as a Drab.
