Riverside University
"Riverside University is the oldest school in Third, and something like one of the top ten oldest schools in the world. Or something like that. Big shocker, I know, but it's right in the bend of the river that cuts all the way down to the coast. Like a lot of the Order's buildings, it's a huge castle/monastery type thing, built of beige stone, and filled with books and those thick, old-timey windows of wobbly-looking glass, and snobs in ugly sweater vests.
Huntsman says it was pretty much the capitol of the The Order of the Scribes for a long time, and so it's important in guild and political history, yadda yadda. They do guest lectures there every now and then, stuff on math and psychology and magic as a so-called "travelling academic," but I'm pretty sure no one knows they aren't. Or that they live in town. Or that they set fire to Riverside's library, like, a zillion years ago.
As for me, school isn't really my thing. I mean, it's not like I'm dumb or anything, but I don't give a crap about chemical reactions or literary symbolism. I can pretend pretty okay if I need to, either for a mission or to help me chat up this cute, nerdy geology major that I've bumped into a few times. I'm super jealous of those ladies who can pull off the pleated mini skirt uniform look, and it's always worth checking out- hey, I mean checking out the university district. Gods, get your mind out of the gutter."
