They stay out of politics, they have no interest and no influence in the politic system. They provide rules of the magic world, all magic casters must follow them or they are to be ripped their allowance to cast magic. If they use their magic to do any evil, they are to be punished by imprisonment or death. The Grand Wizards have certain minions that are legal allowed to capture illegal magic users. The wizards themselves is never seen by ordinary people, they keep to themselves and have minions to do everything, the schools often praise them, but the wizards themselves doesn't ever visit the schools.

History

The grand wizards council has existed for many thousands years. As long as any man can remember. And as these wizards are powerfull enough to extend their lives, most of the members have been the same for many centuries as well.

They have the biggest influence in the capitals, where rumors say they visit the royal families regularly, though it is not known where they ''belong'', they say they belong nowhere within the boundaries of the land.
