The Northern Oasis

The northern pole of Netrosis is surrounded by hundreds of miles of desert and is the location of the city Flantar. The oasis is a lush environment with massive palm trees, healthy grass and plenty of water bubbling up from the earth.

Geography

The Northern Oasis covers about 5 square miles with plants and animals thriving from the large lake at its center. Outside of the oasis is white, fine flowing sand for hundreds of miles with hardened sandstone as a means of travel. Although hot and isolated the natural beauty has spread throughout Galazoor and The Northern Oasis has been often referred to as the Desert Gem.

Fauna & Flora

The Northern Oasis is home to some very resilient animals and plants such as Jakaal grass and the Erriam. Jakaal grass is a black grass that thrives in the desert environment due to its color which aids in its absorption of sunlight. Jakaal grass is also incredibly efficient at absorbing and using water from either the air or ground. The Erriam is a 9 feet tall animal and looks like a giant mouse but with a tail 3 times its body size and it hops around on its back feet. The Erriam can pull massive amounts of weight due to the strong legs and balance afforded due to its large tail, they can also jump incredible distances for the same reason. The Northern Oasis is also the only home to the famous Regdar fish. The Regdar fish is 2 to 3 feet long, has 6 feet, a tough skin, sharp teeth and can shoot water out of its mouth at incredible speeds. After it has stunned its target it will walk out of the water and drag its prey back into the water to consume.

Natural Resources

The lake in The Northern Oasis is large and full of fresh, nutrient-rich water. There is also a naturally occurring mineral known as the Col rock which is exceptionally absorbent of water, very malleable and very cool to the touch. The trees and bushes offer plentiful fruits and vegetables which draw in animals such as foxes, owls, and snakes. The sand surrounding The Northern Oasis when combined with the water creates a very tough clay-like material that is used for glass work.
