Meridian

Meridian is a country located in the Solathar continent, their inhabitants are often called Karja and they worship the Sun

Meridian was created right after the barrier fell by the Karja colonizers of Solathar and it was originally the capital of the Sun Empire, but after the empire dissolved they formed their own country.

Structure

The Sun Chancellor is the supreme head of the Meridian government, vessel of the Sun itself and maximum priest of the church.

The Red Guard are the Chancellor's main protection,

The Karja are warrior and working people.

They are very religious towards the Sun

History

Meridian was founded after the Old Karja settled at the top of the Herio Canyon as it was the tallest point of the Sun Lands and they believed the closer one is to the Sun, the more legitimate their love for it is.

Meridian was heavily fortified against dragons as it was the capital of The Sun Empire. They were the first and most effective Dragon Slayers due to the high volume of them in Solathar; the amount of attention Meridian received angered the other tribes which lead them to rebel in the Sun Empire War.

After the Sun Empire fell, Meridian kept control of the Sun Canyons area and stayed as their own country, but remained only a shadow of their former powerful empire.

Meridian holds the entire Sun Canyons, also known as The Promised Lands by the Old Karja in their legends

Religion

The citizens of Meridian worship The Sun as their maximum deity and look up to their leader as a vessel of the sun itself.

Foreigners are allowed to hold any other religion, but Mojan is usually frowned upon by the citizens if publicly represented.
