Military action

Following the power vacuum created by the Pirimian Empire's fall, revolution sweeps through the Mashendian city-states as powerful figures take control, establish themselves as regents, and war against other city-states to expand their territory.

The major power players during the First Kingdom Wars were Karoseth, Irium, Eprym, Kicha, and the Bantakal-Akkium alliance.   Karoseth, a wealthy island city-state with a powerful navy, became the first to undergo a revolution, and quickly turned its hungry eyes to the rest of the lake cities. It successfully conquered Sarát, Abr, and Pirym, but ran into tougher resistance from Irium, Bantakal, and Akkium, whose navies and temporary alliance proved strong enough to resist Karoseth's expansion.   Meanwhile, to the east, the four city-states of Dazida, Eprym, Kicha, and Marosapti engaged in fierce battle, coming to an uneasy still after Eprym conquered Dazida, and Kicha conquered Marosapti. The two, enlarged powers of Eprym and Kicha turned against each other, but war-weary and equally matched, soon turned home for several decades of peace.
