The Den

The Den is our home and sanctuary; the last of its kind for us Goblin folk. Granted to us by our lord of secrets and protected from prying eyes by his will. It here where we bide our time and grow stronger. The 4th great crusade will not end in failure this time.

Demographics

The Den is filled with several different sub-species of goblins. The most common green skins make up around 35% of the population, with Hashem taking up another 20%, followed by the Boggarts and Spriggans both around 15% with Gremlins at 10% and the Trow bringing up the rear at 5%.

Defences

There are not above ground defenses beyond the still forest itself. Below however is a different story. As the goblins continue to dig and expand their home they somtimes dig into underground cavers filled with golems or other monsters. Most below ground defenses consist of thick cave spanning walls cutting off the danger with range fortification further back in case of a breach.

Industry & Trade

The Den is self sufficient and uses gems as currency the primary currency but gold, silver, and copper are also used if the gobs have it. Trade mostly consists of crafts. All labor is goblins are assigned a job that they must do unless they are talented in magic. After that job is done they are free to do what they wish.

Infrastructure

A very primitive community in many aspects. The den has running water and there are little hovels for goblins to live in but they have no sewage system beyond dumping it in a giant hole. The den makes use of mills and gets its water from an underground stream

Assets

Nothing substantial beyond basic adventuring gear and mushrooms. The goblins have become skilled at harvesting the seed pods on trees un-exploded and turning them into makeshift grenades.

Geography

The Den is an underground cave system below the Still forest. Near the entrance is a large natural cave that is treated like a town square with several brancing paths and chambers from there. The Goblins work every day digging out new caves and caverns for their growing population. At this point most of the passages and chambers are Goblin dug.

Natural Resources

The Den is plentiful in mushrooms, cave rats, and iron. Ocassionaly the goblins dig into an underground cavern that can be filled with treasure, horrors, or both. These randomly found caverns have caused the goblin markets to carry rare and strange trinkets from time to time.
