Chesterfield

Chesterfield is a small village in the far North East, just south of Griffinton. It is surrounded by cliffs and has a large evergreen forest around it. There are two entrances: one from the south and one from the north that are guarded by a single watch tower. Around the town is a wooden wall through the forest.
Chesterfield is mostly untouched by the plague and has been housing refugees in tents that are located in-, and outside of town. There is a river south of town that is used to transport goods to neighbor towns. Every week there is a market in the center of town where farmers, hunters and fishers selling their harvest to the residents. However, the most trade is copper, iron and coal that is mined in the hills directly east of town.
Chesterfield has an inn, some small farms, a blacksmith, a mine, stables with horses, pigs and other small animals, a small barrack and a permanent placed circus tent that is used for entertainment and performances.
Most of the inhibitors are Dwarves due to the location of the mine but other races such as humans, half-lings, gnomes and elves are also walking among the population.

Government

There is a mayor that is selected every two winters. Around 25 inhibitors are working in the military, mostly for defensive purposes of raiding orcs and bandits from the North. However it has been a while since an attack on the village happened and most are now working in the construction.

Defences

Lies within the cliffs surrounded by a thick evergreen forest. There is a wooden wall in the north and south where the only two entrances are. The entrances are protected by a single watchtower. Mostly unguarded except by special events.

Industry & Trade

Hunters, farmers and fishers come and sell their harvest every week on the market. The biggest export is coal, copper and iron that is mined in the mine, located east of the village.

History

Founded by the Dwarven clan Ironbeards in the year 150 BTF.

Architecture

Most houses are build with a solid foundation of limestone with a second floor of wood build on top of it, probably build in a later stadium. Roofs are mostly build of the same wood but some have a stone instead.

Geography

Inside cliffs surrounded by an evergreen forest. There is a riving flowing to the south that makes it easy to transport goods to other places.
