Demographics

Approximately two-hundred Notaren outcasts, ninety-five Halflings and one family of four Solaran outcasts. The townspeople are primarily fisherman and architects. Sixteen citizens rotate as Watchmen, posted in each cardinal direction.

Government

Jacksweir is run by a counsel of three in the fashion of an oligarchy. Jackan Slythe leads the counsel along with a Halfling representative, Quillisk Ran, and the Matriarch of the wingless Solaran family Win Shear. Together, the Counsel of Three decide who to allow into the community, who to cast out and who to kill. The counsel is judge, jury and executioner.

Defences

Jacksweir's primary defense is the malletal infrastructures ability to seamlessly camouflage at a moments notice. Further, the malletal can be fashioned into weapons and the bridge that spans the river can destroy ships that crash into it if the bridge guardian chooses not to dissolve it when a ship approaches.

Industry & Trade

The village has been entirely self sufficient since it's conception. The townspeople fish and hunt birds sufficiently, the malletal provides most every resource.

Infrastructure

The malletal has been utilized throughout Jacksweir to create sophisticated hydropowered structures and systems.

Assets

Each inhabitant is forced to cast off their possessions when they join the community and use malletal for everything they need. Malletal is the used in everything from the buildings to the weapons to the utensils.

Guilds and Factions

The family of Solaran outcasts are looked down upon by most in the village, but generally those who inhabit Jacksweir are united by their outcast status.

History

Jackan Slythe was disowned by the royal Solaran family of Godsfall and stumbled lost and starving to the eastern shore of the continent Notare's Throat where he discovered the substance malletal and quickly learned he could use it to save himself and build a settlement on the great river Kunai.
