Natol

Before there was, there was The Dark. The Dark, in its infinite nihilistic boredom birthed the Great Spider K'nall. K'nall bounded through the dark an eon seeking counsel with that which had birthed her before realizing she would find no other. In a desperate attempt to satiate the boredom inherited from that which she was created, K'nall spun a ball of ethereal light among her vast webs of Dark. The immense energy poured into the ball of web created a heat and light so intense the web eventually burst into a flame so bright it created the Grand Phoenix Solare.   When Solare awoke he spread his wings to spread light and The Dark became but shadows. Great K'nall reveled in the beauty she did not know she could create, but Solare looked upon the hideous visage that was the Spider below him knowing nothing so horrible could have been a part of him. As K'nall pleaded with Solare to look inside of himself and know she was his mother, Solare became enraged and so burnt and blinded K'nall, casting her into what remained of The Dark. It was here the Great Spider K'nall wept endlessly and so created the sea.   From K'nall's Trench at the bottom of the sea the spider spun another ball of web. While the web which birthed Solare was built of love and hope, the new web was constructed of despair and malice and so born was the Monstrous Serpent Notare. Seeing his mother so miserable, Notare became filled with rage from his anger the ocean water boiled. From boiling water rose seven great mountains, seeing these blemishes on the perfect symmetry between the sea and the sky Solare was disgusted and took to razing them immediately. With the cause of his mother's sadness so close Notare sped from the trench and soared through the air colliding with Solare above the seven great mountains.   From their collision both lost many pieces of themselves, falling to the sea below and cooling on it's surface creating seven continents around the seven mountains and so was Natol.
