Earth-root
Properties
Material Characteristics
Earth-root is a plant comprised fast growing thick tendrils. The tendrils are covered in a thick root cover throughout, and large leaves grow in an alternating slow spiral around the plant. Small purple flowers grow sporadically in place of the leaves during the fall.
Rarely, when these plants flourish, they may produce dark red berries. These berries, colloquially known as rotberries, have a dark purple juice and are mildly toxic.
Physical & Chemical Properties
The thick cover over the tendrils of the plant, sometimes referred to as "bark", is nutrient rich and very dense.
History & Usage
Everyday use
Some cultures have used the bark as a tea base, and rarely, very large plants can produce bark thick enough to be used as protective wear.
