The battle of Flek's rage

A large-scale win for Davmire on the southern grasslands, culminating in a brutal battle.

Finding resistance along the north-south line too challenging, the Katari plough south, and eventually find themsleves deep in the unfamiliar grasslands in midsummer. Weak from the heat and lack of water, units start to dissapear to the skilled and secretive warfare of the tribes. At the end of Augenol, a dry storm sparks a bushfire near the Yan'katar camp. With their excellent knowledge of the terrain, a group of fire gnasi push the fire into the camp, and use it as cover to start a brutal battle. Messenger hawks fly to nearby tribes with requests for assistance, and soon the land erupts with soldiers, breaking the ranks of the organised and persuing those who run in panic.

Some Yan'katar manage to hold until night falls, when they are surrounded and surprised. About a tenth of the Yan'katar force manages to retreat to saftey, with many more lost in the dry plains, to beg for mercy or die of thirst, or lions. The bodies of both sides are taken by the fire, which rages for four more days before burning out.

It is said that flek brought the storm, to protect his children of the flame.
