Session 9: Into the Swamp Summary

General Summary

Our heroes last time started their morning with a healthy breakfast of waffles at their favorite food cart. While eating they devised a plan to disguise Arbowyn to have leprosy and pose as their “sick friend”. After breakfast, they met up with Cali’s friend on the docks and got a free ride over to the shore. It was a nice peaceful trip and they docked at a small farmy area. Continuing on their journey they eventually came upon two creatures devouring a man. Seeing them they quickly torched the creatures, however the noise seemed to draw a larger pack and combat ensued. Dreyhe stepped up and torched a good portion of the new pack which caused the survivors to stop and think if they were really that hungry. Not waiting for an answer from them, dreyhe lunged forward and assaulted the two creatures. Unfortunately for him, there were four more that he couldn’t see in the underbrush, surrounded he quickly went unconscious and almost died. However, Cali and Arborwyn immediately jumped into action, and were able to rescue Dreyhe with the rest of the party coming in to complete the route of the creatures. The group decided to settle down early, finding and fortifying a position off the road for the night. Starting off early in the morning they reached the swamp and were found by two ogres who apparently had orders to take them to their mother. The group came upon a medium sized compound in the middle of the swamp and were ushered into a small hut and met Agatha. Agatha grew irritated by the disrespect and wasting of her time as the party fired several questions and then started trying to wander her compound in the middle of making a deal for Arborwyn’s healing. Eventually Agatha got so upset when dreyhe and cali teleported out she chased after them. Finding cali actually on the toilet. A fight ensued as Cali was (reasonably so) pissed off. We left off with both Cali and Twig getting a vision as Twig touched an item inside the hut.
