Found new kingdoms and clan lands, defending the existing ones from all threats. Lead the dwarves in the traditions laid down by the Soul Forger. Honor your clan leaders as you honor Moradin.

Mythology & Lore

Moradin, the All-Father, Dwarf Father, The Creator, The Soul Forger was birthed in the early ages of the world from a volcano eruption. He is the god of smiths and their forges. He is typically displayed as a stout dwarven male, clad in bronze armor wielding a hammer and a shield. He is worshiped every crescent moon. It is said that he created the first dwarves with the rock, precious metals, and gems from the mountains they so love   He is a loving and attentive father who cares for his dwarven children above all else. However, he doesn't neglect those who are not dwarves. His following from non-dwarven races has been growing over the last few centuries.

Tenets of Faith

  • Followers of Moradin strive to honor him by making and creating all sort of items from the forge. Innovation is encouraged and Moradin often blesses creative Clerics more.

  • Moradites should honor and respect their leaders like they honor and respect the Allfather.

  • Experience is the best teacher and removes impurities like fire from the forge.

  • Followers should perform and create with excellence in everything they do.

Priesthood

The Preisthood of Moradin is lead by the Soulforged who typically dwells in the Dwarven capital. Immediately under him are the Master Forgesmiths who run the day to day operations of all the main temples. The Tempered are the clerics who are stationed at shrines and other minor temples. The Master Forgesmiths usually have a few of them to assist him as well. The novices of Moradin are named The unworked. The ranks then ascend to Hammersmith and finally Artisan of the Forge.   There is a rare and elite group call the Hammers of Moradin. They are handpicked by the Soulforged to make up a strike force that is frequently found to lead dwarven armies and be capable to deal with any threat that should arise.   Followers of Moradin typically keep their color pallete to earthy tones. To battle they typically wear chainmail and silvered helmets.
