Session Twenty-two Report

General Summary

Zed quickly moves out of the tower to get the newly acquired warhammer to Azreal, which would allow him to get closer to the tower in his armor without burning alive. The magmen quickly close in on Avo and between the natural heat they produce and physical attacks, down Avo while he is on fire. The fire elemental turns his attention towards Azreal and Zappa, before being dealt with by Azreal. Musalgot then offers his terms of surrender which include leaving Lady Alexis and both treasures and not coming back to this place again. Quickly Azreal tries to make the deal where the party aligns with Musalgot to take out the cult of the dragon and then he would go as a prisoner instead of Lady Alexis. That deal was not accepted and then Azreal was able to hold Musalgot in place for one minute. During this time he attacked at range hitting multiple people in the process. Zappa was able to go invisible while knocking on death's door and kill three of the four remaining magmen before the other was swiftly dealt with by Zed. While Avo was hanging on by a thread, Trudy was able to fly in under Musalgot’s nose to put out the flames and give him a potion. With Musalgot being frozen in place, the party moves into the tower as multiple new enemies are heading toward the combat. At this point Goobert is able to use his wand of ice wall to protect himself and kill off multiple enemies in one fell swoop. With the way more clear, Lady Alexis and Avo move into the throne room and Lady Alexis is stopped by a deep voice calling out from the bowl of embers. The voice states that he is Musalgot’s father and does not want his son harmed. Lady Alexis says that she is one of his new potential wifes, gives him a phony name, and “accidently” tips the bowl over. Now her and Avo head upstairs to try and get past the traps that potentially hamper freeing the prisoners. Around the time Trudy questions if the party have been able to get other members that have fallen in combat backup and fighting, can the same be done for Arthur. Seeing as Arthur has gone above and beyond to help Trudy on several occasions, she rushes out to get his body and starts moving him to the throne room. When Trudy gets to the throne room she asks Zappa to use his magic to get Arthur back. After he tells Trudy that is not something his magic allows him to do, Zappa makes a promise to her to find a way to bring Arthur back. As the minute quickly ends and Musalgot is able to move again the party must decide to bring the fight to Musalgot or try and make an escape.
