Session Thirty Report

General Summary

When the party teleport to Salt Marsh, near the sea of mist, they get several odd looks from the townsfolk. They happen to see a boat in the distance get transported via magical transport and rapidly make their way there. The party are soon teleported to a large submarine that looks like a large mechanical manta ray. Soon the party all get on the submarine and very rapidly get into combat with three drow gunslingers that are a step above the average drow we encountered so far.    After a few seconds Jarlaxle joins the fray and quickly turns the combat into his favor, almost downing Avo. In a quick moment of ingenuity Alexis uses some of the dust recently collected to turn most of the party invisible to try and help with moving around the ship. Alexis and Zappa make their way downstairs to try and find the prince, but very quickly Alexis is blocked from going and has to turn around. Avo and Lloyd tried different ways to stop the submarine and use that as a bargaining chip to get the prince. While that was going on Jarlaxle decided to station himself next to the prince to prevent anyone from getting to him and summoned a chocobo at the base of the stairs for added protection. The group upstairs was able to down the three drow gunslingers only to have more drow join the battle including Jarlaxle with the prince in hand. He very simply requested that the three gunslingers be saved and both sides can talk instead of killing each other. That seemed like the best course for everyone so the parlay was started.    It was discussed that Jarlaxle is taking the prince back to his home to be able to join the Alliance. When it was mentioned what the drow had done to Enar and Guldrun’s hand Jarlaxle said he would make things right and do his best to right those wrongs. Even though Jarlaxle said he would give our group some of the credit when the prince is returned to his people, he did not like the offer of being teleported there the following day because he did not want to leave the Scarlet Marpenoth if he didn’t have to. It was determined that the party would rest on the ship and meet Jarlaxle in the Autumn Islands when the prince is taken there months down the road. The following morning the party teleported back to Thatchum to prepare for their next adventure.
