Session Ten Report
General Summary
The party completes the journey to Woodvale and plans to get rest and leave early in the morning so they head to the Snoring Oak. While there Zappa spots Torem of Clan Elderaxe and asks about the gnolls of late. It was reported that a caravan from Thatchum was taken out and more people and goods were reported missing. In response Zappa requests that a place of residence be given as a reward for helping to deal with the gnolls and Torem agrees to give the party a place that is in his name in Thatchum.
After resting the party completes the trip back to Thatchum with no major issues. When they get back in town they finally part ways with Delvin, the half-orc that works for the caravan company, and get their payment for completing the job and extra for every gnoll they have dispatched along the way. In the little downtime before trying to set off to help the surrounding towns with all of the gnolls the party stocks up on some potions, general supplies, weapons and armor before heading to standing stones outside of town. There they meet Prayed Greenleaf, a human druid living next to Thatchum, who is looking for help with an issue. He requests that the party deal with the White Claw Goblins in the Timberlands of Gheal. For agreeing to help with this issue, he directs the party to the exact location the gnolls camp is. When the party is resting multiple members have a dream about the Snow Elves and that the location they are going will potentially awaken the Lady in White and her love from the Henge of Lost Souls. So, rested and stocked up on supplies they start making the trek to the location of the gnolls.
The party decides to attack the small building first and split into two groups of three to attack from two sides. The first group go into the building and see a statue of a rider on a basilisk looking at a mirror and another figure behind the mirror. After making a good amount of noise in that room a troll busts in and throws Authur on a cooking fire before a battle gets underway. The troll goes down in a few turns from exceptional hits from multiple people and is set on fire to make sure he does not return. Then the first wave of gnolls approach to attack from the temple. When one of them is hurt they retreat and sound the alarm which causes the group of gnolls in front of the small building to go investigate which leads to them getting in the battle when the first group was starting to fade. One spell cast by Authur did great damage to the gnolls, but also hit Azreal and Kass fell unconscious. Azreal went into a different state and attacked with what seems to be hatred after seeing his closest companion fall in battle. Soon after the first two groups were taken care of and the party regrouped and sent Avo, Zed, and Rea to a back entrance of the temple while everyone else went into a side door. When the main group enters the temple they see a caster, near the top where the bell is ringing, along with two archers, and another hunting party drawn back because of the bell ringing. With the flanking rogues and good tactics all around the party finally put an end to the caster and the rest of the gnolls there.
