Elafrogos is a small turquoise caterpillar who bears multiple eyes that he watches with. At times he has been described as "submissive and attuneable".

Elafrogos is a being seeking a lock that keeps them bound to this planet in some way. They wish to go home and over the years have attuned with many to try and achieve this. The location of this lock is unknown, some searched for years and never found it, but apparently were occupied with other matters.

To attune to Elafrogos, you must allow him to enter your body and bond with your mind.
Once Gus enters your mind, he can speak to you telepathically at will at any time and show you any images he recalls. Additionally, he can see through your eyes and any other senses you have. While attuned to Gus, if you choose to take levels in Warlock he can act as your patron. You cannot willingly end attunement with Gus, but at any point he can choose to leave your mind. Gus cannot be removed from you unwillingly as he is bonded deep into your mind.
As Elafrogos bonds with you, he grants you a fraction of his power. You gain resistance to cold damage and the ability to speak, read, and write Deep Speech. Gus then grants you the message and eldritch blast cantrips. When you cast the message cantrip in this way there is no verbal component. Additionally, he grants you the following spells: detect thoughts, dissonant whispers, and chaos bolt. If you do not have spellcasting abilities, you can cast each spell once regaining expended uses on a short rest.
After being attuned to Gus for over a month you grow moth wings with glowing stars embedded in them, granting you a flight speed of 20 feet. These glowing stars consume the light around them. At will, you can cast darkness centred on yourself. You can see through this magical darkness.
