Draconic Religion
Draconic Religion centres on the idea of heat as life force, cold as death, and wealth as a way of accruing power to buy ones way into The Bright World.
Mythology & Lore
Draconism places emphasis on The King Dragon, The Frost Queen, The Trade Baron, The Mistkeeper, and The Soul of Flame in it's creationism, believing that The Trade Baron crafted the world from gold as the others helped shape every nook and cranny. The King Dragon crafted the shells of all living things, The Soul of Flame instilled life into all creatures from the heat of her first breath into the universe. The Mistkeeper then solidified this breath into the primal elements housed in all dragonkind, lightning, fire, frost, and so on. When things reach the natural end of their life, the heat leaves their body and The Frost Queen draws out that heat, instilling the cold that claims their souls, enclosing frost around the edges of the universe.
The draconic deities ruled the world until the primordials came and threw the balance of heat and frost out. The war was fought between gods and primordial spirits and eventually the one world was shattered with the gods sealing away the most powerful of the primordials, and binding other spirits into servitude. The deities left the material plane for the worlds of Bright and Gloom, but they continue to influence the world of mortals through their spiritual emissaries, and by providing the balance of heat and frost, of life and of death.
