C2 Session 6, The Door of Gloom
General Summary
Door used the key to open his door where only darkness lay, until he stepped inside and the fog parted showing a hotel lobby. He beckoned Coolio and Spider-Volt to come with him and told Cresie and Cal women weren’t allowed and to stay out. So DOOR, Coolio, and Spider-Volt ventured in and saw a hotel lobby. DOOR grabbed the keys from the back of the lobby and led the group to the 1st door, down a hallway, and then into a bedroom filled with more darkness which Coolio and DOOR illuminated. Coolio explored the room searching for anything of note and found a cabinet in the corner which had the scurrying of something inside it, something faintly whispering to him, and so Coolio opened the cabinet as it pounced onto his face. Coolio struggled against it but the creature was malleable as it began covering his mouth in an attempt to suffocate him. Coolio was knocked to the ground by this creature before it next pounced on DOOR as well. During this commotion Spider-Volt was attempting to grapple the shadowy heathen and after DOOR was knocked to the ground, he succeeded. Spider-Volt then dragged the devilish pouncer off into the closet through another door and left them there absconding with the unconscious and barely living Coolio and DOOR.
The trio then camped out in the lobby, as Cresie and Cal hopped around town. Shortly after the trio had entered the door, Cresie attempted to open the door and go after them, but to her surprise it did not work because the door had been closed and the key needed to recharge. And so, after 24 hours passed Cresie reopened the door for the group to reunite, while the traumatised trio lied about what transpired within.
The party shortly thereafter went shopping for a map and began making plans to leave town and head somewhere else. Something about this place, getting too crowded.
