History
The Archive was originally created when a few members of the Order of Wisdom disagreed with some of their organization's views on the dissemination of knowledge to the public, specifically what counted as 'forbidden knowledge'. Eventually breaking away from their parent organization, the original archivists set out to collect and catalogue as much knowledge as they could, seeking to preserve and protect even much of the knowledge of the ancient mages. After many years, the archivists began to recruit new members and wander the land, offering their knowledge in exchange for protection and space to do research. After a period of time, they were able to gain the ear of a few tribal leaders and thus the Great Archive was founded, and the Archivists began to be recognized as a legitimate group.
