Social Relations of Mysidia

Social Relations

Before the Fall

The Magitek district held the high class elites of Mysidia, floating above the rest of the city. While relatively small compared to the other districts on the ground, it held a high population of people from Magitek employees to the military that protected their interests and the corporate buildings. The lowest class lived split between two different general areas: the outskirts and the inner circle surrounding the Shadow. The middle class lived fairly comfortably nestled in between. The people that lived on the edges of Mysidia were mostly farmers, raising some simple livestock and growing what they could. Around the Shadow, people had a hard time without space to farm, but it did provide opportunity to scavenge for scrap from Magitek's factories and magical experiments. This came with high risk of injury and sickness, which is why only the most desperate of people lived in that circle.

After the Fall

This extreme division of classes caused tensions to rise to critical levels when the lies that Magitek spat out were brought to light. The fall, both literally and figuratively, of this empire brought with it huge amounts of death and turmoil, which the people are still working on cleaning up. However, a good thing to come out of the uprising is that people are on better terms with each other and it is still on the rise. With everything being carnage, no one person could really come out on top.
