Personal history

Yara was a young child when she lost her parents. She was too young to remember what happened or even remember them, they were just gone. The high scribe of the temple took in the young Drow... One of the few to look past her looks at her potential. She grew up surrounded by books but not many people. As such while she did not learn how to speak the languages she did learn to read almost any language within the books provided her. She was able to hone her skills to the point of the High Scribe deciding to allow her to translate for the high priests. The priests insist she not be the one to translate but from then on they are watching her. Due to a mis-translation the high priests make the decision to sacrifice Yara to bring Mazdras back into the world. She is placed in prison before being taken to the alter for sacrifice. Mazdras made contact with Yara and made a deal. He would save Yara's life from her attackers in exchange for her services to bring the god back, for which he would need her soul. Yara, thinking the deal sounded unfair demanding she receive as much as she was given. As such Mazdras gave her knowledge and her life in exchange for her Soul and Services.
