Mana Stone

Raw mana stone is a jewel that has been harvested from a magic pool. When refined it is used by mages to create enchanted items or in the making of magic potions.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Raw mana stones are chipped from crystals of pure magic allowing them to be used to store spells and enhance magic effects. Some raw mana stones are created by leaving precious gems in a pool of magic, allowing it to soak up the magic. These are less effective but easier to acquire.

Manufacturing process

A mage must take great care in carving spell runes into the stone. This is a very tricky because raw mana stone is incredibly brittle. The smallest mistake can cause it to crumble into dust or trigger a wild magic surge in the mage. (roll percentile dice DC: 50)

Cultural, It is found most often in the pools of magic directly in contact with the Godstatues.
