Glandaar

Structure

All dwarves are split into different parties, the houses ( also known as Castes) that they were born into. There are a total of three different houses. The Ruby Caste, the Saphire Caste, and the Emerald Caste. Unlike the Human kingdoms the dwarves are not ruled by a single person, but by a group of lords and ladies called the Diamond Lords and as of right now there are only six of them.

Public Agenda

Protecting Dwarven Secrets.

Demography and Population

The Dwarves have been driven out of most of the contenent, and are found only around the Silverspire mountains. Although to outsiders it looks like they only possess a small bit of land at the base of the mountains this is far from true as they have extensive paths through the mountains and have multiple settlements throughout the area.

Military

There isn't much of a singular military force, all dwarves are taught to fight from a very young age and they, if called upon by the Diamond Lords, will band together and fight. Each Caste in Each city have a collection of guards that are tasked with keeping the peace and protecting the cities from outside forces but they are hardly an army.

Foreign Relations

The dwarven nation over all have a strong distrust for the human's that drove them from their ancient cities. They don't have much interaction with any of the other races although they are willing to branch out if given the opportunity. Dwarves, as a whole, look down on the Elves, mostly considering them weak. The dwarves were simply driven out of their homes, they were never forced into slavery, they never allowed that to happen.

Agriculture & Industry

Largely industrial in nature, the dwarves divide their time between mining and crafting.

Trade & Transport

All trade with outside forces, takes place in Silverforge. It is the touchstone of the dwarven-human relations and their ownly access to the outside world.

Dwarf Currency

Small perfectly round spheres made out of different gems: Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby, and Diamond. The emerald is the smallest in size, followed by the Sapphire. Each marble is slightly larger than the previous. Diamonds are rarely used, given by a Diamond Lord to a merchant or crafter who particularly impressed them. They are then horded and displayed like a badge of honor in the merchant's shop or home.
