Human

The master craftsmen of Terra   The population of the Human people inhabit the central regions of Terra. These lands largely consist of plains which are perfect for the creativity of the Humans. This allowed the Humans to build impressive structures in order to facilitate their everyday life. Buildings such as watermills and windmills to use the natural power of nature to perform automated tasks and massive furnaces to help warm entire districts year round just to name a few. This kind of ingenuity has only been recently matched by the Lemouille people. However, while their structures could be considered grander, the Humans have the advantage of working on land as well as in the water to some extent. Meanwhile the Lemouillites can often struggle outside the water. For this reason, Humans are often employed all over the world to lend a hand with construction of any sort.

Basic Information

Anatomy

While Humans do come in all shapes and sizes, compared to other races, the Human people tend to resemble one another much more closely. The easiest way to tell Humans apart is primarily thanks to their facial features and sense of fashion.   Humans have rounded heads covered in hair. (some long, some short.) Their faces consist of a rather flat forehead which leads down to their noses. Their eyes are sunken into their faces as a means to protect their sensitive eyes. Bellow the nose a small mouth can be observed just over their chins. Their heads are connect to their torso but a short neck. Their torso down to their hips share the same width. Their arms and legs are closely proportional to the length of their body. The arms connecting to their hands with 5 digits each all relatively the same size. Their feet on the other hand are quite unique. It flattens out from the ankle stretching forward ending in another set of 5 digits all located at the end of the foot.

Genetics and Reproduction

Humans are mammals. A typical pregnancy is recorded to last near 9 months. The parents are responsible for creating a nursery within their homes in order to take care of the newborn. The Humans do have mid-wives services available, though some choose to deliver all on their own. Once the baby is born, it is up to the mother to provide nourishment for the 1st year. Meanwhile the father is responsible for the well being of the mother, which in turn, takes care of the baby as well.

Growth Rate & Stages

A newborn Human is incredibly fragile. Normally, parents (often the mother) will take care of the baby for the first 3 to 4 years of their lives. During this time, around 2 years old, the baby will slowly develop their speech as well as learning to walk thanks to the teaching of the parents. By the 4th year, the baby is dubbed an infant and is most likely able to walk and talk at a competent level. By their 5th year, the infant or child can begin to attend teachings from schools or pastures. Humans are quite strict on education and so, the child will spend the next 10 years attending classes with each year dedicated to new subjects. By the age of 15, the child has entered adolescence. It should be known that while children will have finished their schooling, not all complete the entirety of the teachings. Some wonder for any number of reasons. From helping their parents to disappearing into the unknown. On their 17th year, they are officially recognized as adults and are welcomed to contribute to their communities for the good of all.

Ecology and Habitats

Humans live primarily within the plains and fields. Their capital is found within the Region of Middterh. While you may think living in the open fields may be dangerous, you'll recall that the Human people are excellent artisans. Their homes are often sturdy wooden or stone structures fenced in to protect themselves from monsters and beasts alike. Additionally, Humans tend to stick together in large communities giving them the strength of numbers.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The Human people are omnivores. Much like the Burroden people, Humans are fond of agriculture. However, unlike their ground dwelling neighbors, Humans also uphold farms with livestock such as cows, sheep, hens and more.
