Research on the Wellness Tree

The Wellness tree grew in the core of the Faye marsh swamps. Within the swamp resides many unnatural creatures, warped by mana corruption and infused with innate magical ability. Though treacherous, man took much interest in navigating the realm of the swamp in order to uncover its secrets.   We realise that vegetation in the area grows exponentially and maintains itself for at least five times the length of normal vegetation. With sufficient knowledge of magics, one would assume that men would be able to survive the nature of the ecosystem but that would be incorrect. Something in the swamp warps one's mind and later still, warps the body.   Scans indicated that the most activity occurs in the centre, there were high traces of Esohydrone and Nitrogen, not enough to cause long term damage. As a precaution, the exhibition team were sent with a proprietary breathing apparatus, designed to take over breathing by filtering out any excessive components in the air.   Team hear voices to head away from recon point A   Several teams later and they had pinpointed the central location, a grand tree that blossomed with a variety of colours.   They airdropped in and were attacked, the cams show that the plants were attacking them.   Cutting deep into the tree, to preserve itself it attempted to absorb the people, taking their form they began to hallucinate.   They decided to rise to the light and sacrifice others in their stead. Thrown to the abyss, saw the future, Spirits rising.   The Guardian of the forest spoke, poisoned by the evil in men. Cries in agony, pleading for forgiveness of the gods.
