In the beginning, there were two, Alu and Ima...

In the beginning, the world was dark, cold and full of untapped power. The energies that permeated the nothingness infected everything, and the void revelled in its cold and unforgiving paradise. Untold lifetimes went past, and the void slept, as it dreamt, the world sparked anew, it took but a flash, and from that light came two flickers of life, Alu and Ima.   Alu is known as the personification of order and Ima being personification of chaos. With Alus curiosity, it made use of the untapped power that stormed around them, breaking down and making functional the world around them. Ima, in turn, gave rhythm and rhyme to the rigid functions of Alu. They were in perfect harmony, and the world grew beautiful as it was blessed with their grace. Through this method, they built the fundamental laws of our world, elements, energy, the natural forces, the world grew to form a rhythm, and functioned as one great machine.   Not all things were joyous however, they still struggled, for the world was still devoid of life. Though they had no need for sustenance, the emptiness of the expanse left them (for lack of a better term) starved and hungry. In their times of need, they would draw close to one another and build strength from their presence, but they were not without their squabbles. Their romance shaped the world around them, and before long, they blessed themselves with the potential to create life.   In the "seventh cycle of being", they had birthed 9 children, Rava, Nabu, Gaia, Diod, Gora, Beru, Vitu, Zodo and Krot. Each one displaying a facet of what we now know as the moral alignments. These are now known as the great avatars, Deities.   It was through the inspiration of their children that the first star came into being, and from it, the foundation of the world we know today. They forged planets, Organised the constellations. On occsation when they bicker, they would shower with a large breath of Nebula into each others realm. It took many billions of years, but eventually the earth would move on its own, these curious specimen would be called mortal, for their forms were frail and short.   Though man was not the first sentient life-form they had come across, it was the only one to survive past sixteen centuries, after all, mortal creatures are so small and frail, and world that they inhabited were at times too harsh to survive. The longer man dwelled on the earth, the longer the great beasts took interest in them, often looking in on the progress of men, keeping their presence relatively hidden. Speaking to few, intervening where they felt necessary, but nothing to force too great a change. This was the time of Blindness, where they were embedded in the air of mankind.     Man had developed for well over 10,000 years past its point of notable origin, but after countless wars and betrayals, it all came to a head in the world war which came to an end in the Anglo Saxon era where nightmarish destruction rained from above in the form of nuclear weaponry, ending all but ten percent of the earth’s population, more so perishing from the ash and residual radioactive activity. The remaining few humans pleaded to the gods or fell into chaos. It was the end, should have been, in fact.   There was great controversy in the heavens on the eve of man's destruction. Though, against the judgement of their parents, the 9 children sought out to save the earth from damnation. They saved humanity from extinction, but their inexperience caused the earth to warp, shaping it into both a catalyst and conduit that exposed it to the otherworldly energies that resides within the multiple dimensions. The creatures that ran upon the earth were also affected, some more apparent than others, but each now with the newfound potential to wield unnatural power.   It took another five-hundred years for earths population to stabilise, now that it is on the rise, the world is now in a new era. An Era of Magic, an Era of Greater Wisdom.
