The Frost Fire Maiden Chapter 06

Killed an undead ogre. The dark energy seeped into the platform to reveal stairs.
They found a PC in chains under the staircase and they went off to explore the dungeon.
Came across a trapdoor. The rogue accidentally set it off but evaded the axe that penetrated the door before his face got split open.
The corridor revealed a coridoor with runes that when stepped on, set them alight.
The NPC i created (because none have arcana)
Sensed the power source to be a crystal affixed to the wall at the opposite end of the corridoor.
Thry used an NPC to cast stone form to create a hook that the rogue could swing off of to kick yhe crystal power source, dislodging it from the wall and turning the runes off.
They made their way father down the corridor, met with a door. Through it was a Y shaped ceremonial room. On the right was a obsidian statue of a male with gold horns. Slight transmogrification magic on it. In its hands was a black orb.
The statue was of the god of deceit and darkness.
To the left was a female statue made of marble. Her hands also shown in an expectation of an object.
They moved the orb. The paladin touched it with his bare hands and instantly went inti a comatose state.
The druid, feeling the burn from his pact, removed the curse, waking him up. ( the paladic was the PC under the stairs) They tried again using cloth and thry suceeded and the male statue turned into marble. they wrapped it up and up and placed tge black ord into the hands of the female statue. It turned into obsidian and the doors behind them locked shut.
2 crystals on either side of the door began to burst inti green flame. A poisonous gas coming from them.
The Paladin had the idea to place the orb next to the fire, hoping it would absorb it. They gradually got closer.
The Priest barged passed him, stole the orb from him and held it up to the crystal torches and was immediately engulfed in fire. The Paladin and Warrior next to him were slightly burned by the heat.
The fire however did not burn the Priest. But his items were burning, he placed it into the hands of the male statue and the torches dimmed slightly.
The fire was then absorbed through the orb and into the statue. And the statue return to its original obsidian image with burning green eyes.
They tried again on the female, the room now filling with gas.
Once again the fire was absorbed, but the female statue stayed marble with burning blue eyes. The torches were now gone but the Paladins torch he carried with him he realised burned blue. The doors now open.
Before they left, he attempted to slot his torch into the torch holder to see if there were any secret doors.
Did not find any.
The NPC noticed something and bwgan to chant something but was stopped by the ranger (the NPC till now was acting super stingy and super suspicious, pissing off our warrior).
Behind the slab of rock came a secret compartment... *behind the slab of rock where the torch holster resided.
