Caelus

The Holy Realm

Caelus is the realm of the Holy Angels. They are poised, dignified and stubborn beings that enjoy the more lavish and luxury lifestyle. They are ruled by a King and his council, though they do get to vote and have a say in what they do. Caelus does have strict living rules and an even more strict military. Though, no Angels really do anything bad, in fear of what their King may do, so there is really no discipline system; besides the average laws all citizens have to abide by. The old King was Michael, one of the last archangels. Though, he was defeated in the last Holy War, by his brother, Lucifer. Soterasiel became the new King, and ruled with a manipulative, well-manicured iron fist.

Structure

King: Soterasiel. He was hand picked by Michael to be his right-hand man. He is the most ruthless of all the Angels and wishes revenge on all demonic beings responsible for Micheal's demise.
Angelic Council: This council serves directly under the King and are responsible for the needs of the citizens, economy, trade and military. There are many branches for each area to control, but all is overseen and approved by the King. Though, the people can still vote for certain things.
Religion: The Angels worship their King and only their King.

Public Agenda

The Angels' only goal in life is to destroy anything demonic. Ever since Lucifer fell and founded Gehenna, the Angels have fought to destroy all things demonic, for they believe it is a blight to all things Holy.

Assets

Caelus is very rich in souls, for that is the currency of Holy beings (this includes Deamons). There are two types of souls; pure and sin. Caelus has reapers which go down to Mundus and reap the souls of the pure, or mostly pure, humans. This fuels their economy and military, and pleases the King.

History

There is no real time or place when Caelus was born, it just always was. All Angels lived in harmony there, until some got curious about other realms and thus accidentally merged their world with that of Mundus. There, some of the Angels decided to migrate to Mundus. This made some Angels severely angry, so closed off and guarded their gate to Caelus. This created a very large rift in the two brothers and holy protectors of Caelus; Michael and Lucifer. Michael was the one who ordered the segregation, but Lucifer protested. This caused a war between the brothers that would come to be known as the first Holy War. Michael won the battle and cast Lucifer and his followers out of Caelus forever. This is when Lucifer fell, and used his power to will another realm into existence; Gehenna.
Two more Holy Wars followed after, the last of which Michael lost. He was defeated, and Lucifer abandoned his empire in Gehenna and took over Caelus. This angered the daemons of Gehenna and caused them to revolt against their former leader, team up with the Angels and destroy Lucifer's reign. In the end, both realms suffered massive casualties and while they still feud, there has been no war since.
