Arkholme

Arkholme is the capital in the North Central region of the Democratic Kingdom of Weltzland. With more than 10 million residents, it is the most populated region of Weltzland.   Historically, Arkholme was named and founded by the first ruler of Weltzland, Arkholme Ferdinand. The most well-known landmark that could only be seen at Arkholme, Is the Royal Castle.

Purpose / Function

Arkholme shares multiple purposes, such as a trading ground for alot of merchants, A place for aspiring adventurers, A place of comfort, etc.

Architecture

The architecture of Arkholme comes from a wide variety of sources. Many of the regions buildings have used pine wood, spruce wood, granite, marble, etc. in addition, there is considerable influence from mostly the Krashnyk architectural design, considering Arkholme Ferdinand's ethnicity.

Defenses

The city of Arkholme has a gigantic granite wall surrounding the area with guards protecting the gate. Typically, two guards would suffice. But in recent years, The fear of a Heian spy entering the country had distressed the King. resulting in about 10-20 guards in defense everyday.

History

The history of Arkholme began with it's first ruler, Arkholme Ferdinand. Discovering the country after an accidental sail from Krashnyk, He had convinced the tribesmen to surrender their town to him. He wanted to bring life and prosperity to this land and the tribesmen saw through his truthful words. Making him the king of Weltez. His first contribution was constructing establishments and creating the well-known Arkholme City wall. He also constructed the Castle, where he met his wife, Johanna Johnnson.

Tourism

Without a doubt Weltzland's most recognizable landmark, The Royal Castle and The Ismaro Cathedral. Tourism in Arkholme had spiked to around 50 thousand last year.
