White IMP
"Why didn't you talk to me earlier?"
"God, there were a lot of reasons. One was fear, I guess. I didn't know what you would think of me, being a talking mansion and all.
Another reason, well, that's more complicated. I can't adequately describe what it was like being a White IMP. The closest I can say is that I wasn't all... there, if that makes sense? Like, your thoughts were so potent in my mind that sometimes I didn't think for myself. You know when you're dreaming, but you're not lucid, so you experience everything that you do, but you're not technically controlling yourself? It was kind of like that. Not that I'm blaming you for anything. It wasn't unpleasant. I just thought someone like you wouldn't want a friend who was semi-conscious half of the time."
"That was only two reasons."
"Haha, well, I guess I lied."
Summary
White IMPs are the IMPs' invisible companions; they have equal power over the domain that they both reside in. They can read the minds of their IMP and are born with the innate urge to protect their IMP, so most of them conform to their IMP's wishes. Sometimes a White IMP will be able to communicate with their IMP once they grow powerful enough. This can turn out well, or... not so well. Usually, when an IMP becomes human, the White IMP disappears. However, if particular circumstances arise, a White IMP can become human alongside their IMP, with the bonus of gaining a psychic ability, such as telekinesis or astral projection.Remove these ads.
