Duldon

The small city of Duldon. Population approximately 11600; primarily dwarf, some gnome.     Notable Places -   The Athenaeum of the Elemental Arts: A small school of witches and wizards, said to be haunted by the ghost of an arch-wizard.   The Flying Bear: A grand elven tavern, decorated with exotic weapons and armor.   The Sawmill: A derelict building of brick and slate, filled with complex dwarven machines. It is apparent that the building is a sawmill, but no-one has been able to work out how to operate it in the recent generations.   The Silver Shrine: A wondrous obelisk of bright silver, said to protect the town against wererats and other lycanthropes.   The Sage's Alehouse: A modest dwarven inn, said to be haunted by the ghost of an arch-wizard.   A tall statue of quartz, placed to mark the Battle of Nalukkhol.   A single story building of stone walls, the home and personal library of a female dwarf sage named Tjorgga. She specializes in the study of ancient history and civilizations.   The Guildhall: An ornate stone-walled building, once an inn house. It contains a large meeting hall and several smaller rooms, and is shared amongst several local merchant guilds.   The House of Spirits: A two-storey half-timbered theatre, home of a troupe of illusionist-jugglers.   Froinan's Masonry: A cluttered stonemason's workshop, said to be guarded by living gargoyles.   A spire of dark stone, said to entomb the undead corpse of a vampire.   Bjamsgi's Armory: A large armorer's workshop, built within the walls of an iron-banded stone tower.   The Warrens: Beneath the town streets, a ravine was filled with arched vaults and covered over long ago. It has become populated by drow.   Odan's Forge: The workshop of a male dwarf blacksmith named Odan, known for his short temper and sharp tongue.

Demographics

primarily dwarf, some gnome, and the drow that live below the city hidden from sight.

Government

Two factions control the city, several legendary adventurers and a noble aristocrat, the dwarf lord Linan.

History

Founded by Duldon the wise when he came upon a tribe of orcs, goblins, and even some dwarves strangely enough and decided to show them how to make their settlement into a town with infrastructure and walls. He was praised for his gifts to the tribe and crowned as their leader and ruler of the town of Duldon. He vanished when the great war began and hasn't been seen since.
