Losthall

"The Sparrows which made their new home along the cliffs...    In Losthall, the home of the Sparrows, Magic comes from the spring in the silver forest. A lake filled with the precious silver taken from the flooded city and rained upon the sparrow land in thanks for their help. Its aura’s pulses in godly energy that radiates into the fields making it some of the most fertile lands in the 5 nations. Some time ago the warlock Mordrid had traveled to Losthall and gifted Arabella Sparrow with gifts similar to his, her house would become the healers of their community, able to connect with ancient magic of the Rih unlike any other."   -Morganthra   "In Losthall, the home of the Sparrows, Magic comes from the spring in the silver forest. Geography

Tall snowy mountains dripping in a fog surrounded by thick pine forests and rivers running down the sides into valleys below. Rocky dirty hilled landscapes dotted with bright green fields in the mainland.

Ecosystem

The forest was tremendous, misty, and rich. Its canopy was eclipsed by fir, maple, and spruce, and abundant dancing lights bounced through their crowns for a range of saplings to cultivate the rich grounds below. lLight passes down for an overabundance of mushrooms to dominate the crunchy layer of leaves below.   Thick climbing plants hung from the occasional tree, and a medley of flowers, which blossomed brightly, looked almost out of place in the otherwise brown and green forest floor.   Silent branches clung to most trees, and a range of flowers, which grew dispersed and sparingly, highlighted the otherwise jade scenery.   A disharmony of noises, most belonged to varmint, added life to the forest, and were backed by the occasional sounds of birds of prey gliding in the air.   White sandy beaches, snow-capped mountains, and gentle hills lay beyond the silver forest.    There were fields all over the place, spread sporadically between the patches of forests left to grow in peace. All around you sheep and cows ran and frolicked in the wide-open pastures, and touring around most fields ran a gravelly road. The road eventually reached a traditional farmhouse overshadowed by several enormous Rowen trees.   The Erianthus Stella is a very common, small plant and can be found anywhere near rivers. It blooms twice a year, for 1 week. It has small, rosette leaves, which are usually dark orange. It also grows small flowers, which can be dark red and white.   These plants grow in small groups, but it's fairly simple to control and maintain their growth. They can be eaten to relief a sore throat.   The Cedrus Decussata is a very common, tiny plant and can be found in most subarctic regions. It blooms in late winter. It has narrow, round leaves, which are usually dark green. It also grows small flowers, which can be light gold, dark blue, dark purple and yellow.   These plants grow alone, but within a decent distance from each other, but it's fairly hard to control and maintain their growth. They can be used as medicine.   As a defense mechanism the Cedrus Decussata relies mostly on its surroundings to survive. They rely on animal pollination to reproduce. To promote pollination, they give of a delicate smell.   As a defense mechanism the Erianthus Stella grows tiny thorns. They rely on cloning themselves by growing a new specimen to reproduce.

History

Religion holds quite some importance in their lives and, if anything, has made them more gentle. The people of Losthall are moderately spiritual as well and they have firm beliefs and special rituals.    Losthall was a matriarchal state in the past, but when Alrasian troops came through decades ago they took control of the Government, though the culture remains strong.    Rooted on the lowest point of the bluff valley before the cliffs facing emberhelm, Losthall was build east of the mountains. The resources these mountains brought were of great importance, but they were also influential when it came to architectural designs as the vast majority of buildings mimic the broad slopes and steep peeks of the mountains.   Historicaly Losthall was the home of the Clan Sparrow after the battle of Emberhelm and the subsequent slaughter by the flood. In recent years, Alras has been making an effort to separate clansmen from one another and station parents and older siblings apart from the younger ones so they can mold them free of cultural influence.    They are however clueless to the still thriving hexa population in the city, as Losthall is the secret hub for magical practice.
