Mull

Of the vampire clans situated in Burke County the Mulls, headed by Christofel Mull of German extraction, are more filial connected than other clans in the area.
There are many stories about how Christofel Mull became a vampire, all agree that he accepted vampirism to avenge his son’s murder at the hands of the Cherokee Indians. A small war began behind the scenes of the Revolution - Vampires vs Yona (as the lycans of Western North Carolina closer resemble).
Many were slain. Over the past century, as civilization has grown, the lycans and the Mulls have formed a truce; they would no longer kill each other. The Oconaluftee would keep to the wilderness and the Vamps would keep to civilization.
Christofel only bestowed vampirism on those of his family who he felt possessed a certain prowess to further his family’s schemes. The clan resides and owns the Sativum Building across from the courthouse. The Sativum is a traditional arcade and is the city’s primary shopping center for haute-couture fashion and cuisine; atop are luxury apartments where many of the clan and other non-clan vampires live.

ApHowell

The ApHowell clan has only been in residence in Burke County for less than a century. The Welsh patriarch however made his name and family quickly. In the 1840s Rhys built The Eyrie Hall and Opera House, next to Hotel Breckenridge, which has become a staple of Burke culture and over the past 60 years has seen two renovations and expansions and now rivals the Sativum Building in the Morgansburough skyline.
Within the bowels of the Opera House is the ApHowell Haven, though many have homes outside of The Eyrie it is a safe place from mortals, prying eyes, and sunlight.
More recently Absolom Miller and his widowed sister, Phoebe McGalliard, have taken control of the historic Hotel Breckenridge, the city’s oldest establishment of its kind, and now operate the business for the clan. The Hotel hosts the performers of the Opera’s shows and many travelling persons of import.

Lazarus

Isaac and Nathan Lazarus, twin brothers from the north, have only been in Morgansborough for 15 years and have built identical houses on opposite ends of the city. Their haute-couture fashion house operates out of the Sativum Building and their clothing line can be seen on many of those within high society around the city.
Although their business is housed in Mull territory there are not members of any clan. Both Mull and ApHowell are vying to have the brothers in their ranks and the power that could provide.
