The Fairy Tree

Inola takes you further down the winding river trail; you can hear the sound of rushing water getting louder, drowning out the nightly creatures. Just below the falls of the Lynville River you see it.
Before you, you see a beautifully old, gnarled, twisted tree. It is covered in fungus, and bearded with rich green moss. The roots jut out from the trunk, spreading in every direction, each the size of a healthy tree themselves. They rise from the ground in places and plunge down again in others. The ground is carpeted with moss and wildflowers.
A circle of mushrooms, big and small, misshapen after their fashion, surrounds the tree. As you cross the circle, you feel the air become more rich in taste, the moss becomes greener, somehow, and the flowers more vibrant in color.
