Otun

Otun is the guardian of the disenfranchised. Otun shares a theoretically similar ideology to Taiia, but the methodology that Otun encourages stands wholly at odds with Taiia's. Otun guides his followers towards self-empowerment and actively encourages training in practical defense. Every Otunite knows how to wield a blade, but most are loathe to use it too readily - Afterall, Otunite's tend to be among lower social classes and are taught well not to draw needless attention to themselves.    The typical religious unit for Otun is a familial unit, regardless of whether or not the members are all blood-relations. Otun has no clergy and actively discourages houses of worship. Typically, Otunites gather together and follow the spiritual guidance of a Patriarch within the group known as the Deceiver.    The means of self-empowerment and one's defense is left to the Deceiver to determine within each 'Family', and the methodology varies greatly from one family to the next. A Merchant Caravan may simply employ mundane practical defense and instead endeavor to make itself invaluable to higher powers, a Bandit Troupe may actively target the structures of power within the region and destabilize the powerful, or an Arcane Family might seek forbidden knowledge to climb to greater heights. The only universality is that an Otunite family will always seek to help those in need who have been forgotten by other Gods. None are unwelcome within Otun, even the powerful who decide they cannot tolerate injustice are welcomed as family.
