Lordrus

Lordrus stands vigilant as a defender against the Wilds. The champion of civilization, rumored to have been a mortal Caravan Guard in life who dedicated himself to the service of the realms, a man with the ability to conquer a nation should he wish it - but he chose to remain a servant to the protection of the realms. True Shepherds, as they call themselves, are a rarity. Shepherds are accomplished Fighters easily equal to 10 normal Guards and while they could retire easily to a life of greater luxury, they maintain their existence as Guards and take a humble payment for their extraordinary services. A Shepherd knows that to die in service of Humankind is the highest honor and will never involve themselves in politics. While Shepherds are rare, many Guards on the road pray to Lordrus. Regardless of their motivation, it is the belief of many that Lordrus has a soft spot for those willing to risk their lives in service of others, even if their true motivation is the glint of gold. Lordrus lacks any formal structure or ideology, it is up to the man to choose how he worships Lordrus.
