The current Lord and Scribe of Death.
Mortuary is a spiritual being brought to existence by Death itself, to collect and record all the souls that die on the the planet of Moontides. He was initially an apprentice himself, of the previous Lord and Scribe, but that person has since retired and passed on the title to Mortuary.
Mortuary has taken on even more apprentices, especially sinceFirst Contact led to more settlements developing as more people arrived in Moontides via the spaceships. He assigns each apprentice over distinct regions of the planet to achieve full coverage, and keeps track of all the souls living and dead through an elaborate filing system of glass panes, with each pane recording the person's current location and activities. He stays at the plane of Death version of Moontides, a dark-gray reflection of the usual planet.
