Amenamps

The Amenamps are strange devices that were recently smuggled into Mixolys by an unknown faction. They allow anyone to use a limited scope of song magic without a connection to the Harmonic Servers and without Pactones.
The Amenamps get their names from the Ears of Amenasys, items that produce music on their own when provided with a magical charge. The mechanism through which an Amenamp works is thought to be similar to the way an Ear of Amenasys works (taking in emotional energy and turning that into an effect), but how it can do that without a type of pact or without server programming is a mystery.
It's worth noting that one must actually sing, speak, or rap to activate an Amenamp. Other methods of song magic rely on server outputs or Pactones' inherent magic to sing for a person, but Amenamps require some sort of vocal input, and they respond best to lyrical content in a common tongue. It also seems that the quality of the lyrics affects what the Amenamp produces, so if one isn't good at expressing themselves normally, an Amenamp won't instantly turn that person into a song magic-slinger.
