Elves
A sapiant species that dwells in central Miran. They are very intune with both nature and the divine. They are advanced in the world of magic and are excellent teachers. They have a very orderly kingdom that is separated by house which is ruled by one of those very houses. They are a stickler for rules, but all have very kind hearts; some have hardened with age.

Anatomy
Elves are both taller and more lanky than most other species. They tend to have long limbs and a quite light in comparison to their height.
Genetics and Reproduction
They reproduce sexually, the same way as other humanoids like humans.
Growth Rate & Stages
The speed in which an elf matures is based on the elf themselves. Some elves aren't fully mature until 40, 50, even 100 years after birth. They are able to live up to 600 years naturally.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Elves are more plant-based in their food consumption.

Social Structure
They live in a kingdom so the structure stems from the monarch and down from there. There are also noble house, split high and low, that help govern smaller sections of the kingdom that the commonfolk look to for help and guidence.

They have pointed ears and normally have thinner shaped eyes.

They live from the coast, to the woodlands, to the the mountains.
Average Intelligence
They are known for being very intelligent, especially in the mystic arts, but also in other things, such as architecture.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Elves can see very well and are inherently good at magic, but the type depends of the area and what is easiest to harness. For example, and elf that lives in a wooded area would be good at Lonir magic (nature magic) and an elf that live by the sea would be good at Eas magic (water magic).

Naming Traditions
In Elvish culture, the last name comes from the father and thus the line is passed like that. First names vary a lot more and are mostly due to parental preferance.
Major Organizations
The Kingdom of Alfria and the houses within (Farnelis, Elajor, Wynran, Qifir, Vamys, Crarel, Sylrie, and Aephine) are the main political organizations, but there are also other ones that sprout onto different topic. An example would be the Church of Alficism and the Conglomerate of Schools for Sorcery and Mage Training(CSSMT).
Average Technological Level
At the moment, they are less technologically advanced than their neighbors but they are hoping that that will change soon. They have harnessed the power of boats and of trains as well as the science of architecture. Magic enhanced items are used often, but they can be improved even more with the technology found by humans and alati.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
Elvish and Common are spoken most frequently. There is also a special dialect of Elvish spoken only when at a shrine for a god or other religious things and it is called Alfish.
Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals
The observance of the First gods during their month as well as the Children of Light and Dark during the extra days of Esnir. The final day of Esnir is a day to celebrate Esnir and Oelia.
Common Taboos
Consuming any animal flesh in the presence of a shrine. Disgracing the earth in most any way.

The history of elves starts way before their arrival in Miran. The current elves on Miran decended from the original elvish settlers

Common Myths and Legends
The many stories of the Alfic panteon fills Alficism with many stories worth telling.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
They get along well with other species, but, specifically with more uptight traditional elves, they tend to gravitate more towards other elves. Those of the younger generation get along more with other species, even getting married and having children with them.
