The Malrus Formula was Malrus's final attempt to destroy the world by delivering a plague onto it. It sends the world into a new dark age before it vanishes as Malrus is defeated by the new Hero of Light, Noah.

Causes

The Malrus Formula is a virus that is unleashed as Malrus is defeated by the hero, Jaiden.

Symptoms

A fever with major coughing fits. Dark spots appear on the skin, growing larger until the body fully turns dark. The eyes of the hosts will later change to glow red.

Prognosis

Infection, followed a few days later by the complete takeover of the body from the virus, corrupting the host and placing them fully under the control of Malrus.

Hosts & Carriers

Any living creature can be affected by this virus.

Prevention

Being inside one of the safe locations across the Overworld that has natural protection against the virus will prevent potential hosts from contracting it. If one is infected and returns to the safe zones, they will perish but not spread the infection.

Cultural Reception

Victims of the virus are seen as nightmarish abominations and feared.
